this small island looks crowded.....low rise and square

reminded me of the pictures where my friend took in ghana

Yes Z, very dry and very poor. Years pass before people see any rain, and most of the population has emmigrated to Europe (Portugal, Holland), looking for better living conditions. Some of these islands are volcanic also. I suppose tourism would be a great boost for the country, due to the beaches, but even that doesn't seem that much developped.

Actually, when I first saw this, I thought of Palm Desert / Palm Springs in the Mojave desert of California. It's all low buildings, low hills/mountains and very little greenery -- except in the very wealthy neighborhoods and golf courses.
