It's been over a year since me and J. went to Oporto (we say Porto), our northern capital. Quite a romantic place, with its darker colours. It was quite a rainy weekend, I had never used a digital camera before, and although the views are stunning, most of the pictures came blurred. In the city center, most of the streets are narrow, and the pavemente made of dark stones.

That's my town!! My lovely town! The town I love and live in!
Milan, have you enjoyd that S. João seen on the photo? It's by Siza Viera, and it's not consensual here... we actually don't like it, since it is totally different from the rest of the Praça do Cubo!!
Oh, there was nothing in Oporto I didn't like eheh. I mean, really! Such nice memories... I hadn't been there in almost 15 years, since I was a kid. It was really great. I think the end result of that statue is ok really, a mixture of old and new, which is never consensual these days :) P.S. I just didn't know that the word for coffee there is "cimbalino", and not "bica" :))) Oh, how I laughed the first time I heard the word :)
You are the weirdest people! Lol! We know the words we use here and the words you use in Lisbon, but you just insist not to know ours and act surprised when coming up here! :p Lol
I hate that statue!! Horrible! Horrible!
Love this photo. The vertical framing really emphasizes the height of the buildings, narrowness of the streets, and that neat "pie-shaped" split of streets. Very cool.
K, come to Oporto one day and you'll see the beauty in front of you! I have to say my town is wonderful! :D
haye....
narrow and winding streets....made from cobblestone,
grand looking building with magnificent architecture,
dotting with small friendly neighbourhood cafe
wow what a nice town to live in...
beautiful Porto.....beauitful!
